copywriter

We need to be honest with you right from the start. Our Big Fry and founder started her career as a copywriter. By expressing an interest in copywriting, you’re already gonna be the favorite and we’re jealous just thinking about it. So be prepared for lots of attention.

 

Essential Functions

  • In conjunction with the Account Leader, guides both the creative process and client management to foster strong working relationships and solutions.

  • Ensures client satisfaction with on time and on budget delivery of projects.

  • Prepares copy, concepts, and formats for use in both print and digital environments.

  • Researches, drafts, and revises content for projects such as presentation slides, emails, web pages, video scripts, printed collateral, client pitches, branding, training materials, etc.

  • Collaborates with the graphic designer on copy flow when needed.

  • Maintains all materials in our company database to be archived and retrieved.

  • Stays informed on the latest trends and terminology.

Generally, we are looking for:

  • College degree in English or Communications.

  • Three or more years of copywriting experience.

  • Proven project management skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Dropbox and other related computer software.

  • Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work well on a team and collaborate with others.

  • Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

  • Possess a deep and personal commitment to Associated Press Style.

  • Passion for Small Potatoes’ mission and understanding of our vision.

 

WIIFM?

  • This is a contract role, so flexibility galore

  • $30-40/hour, depending on your experience

  • 5-15+ hours/week (when it rains, it pours)
